Gold Futures Predicted to Trade Between $4,200 and $4,400 Next Week
Gold futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives are expected to trade between US$4,200 and US$4,400 per troy ounce next week, according to global strategist Stephen Innes. Oil prices will be a key uncertainty for the market direction.
Innes said that elevated bond yields and the US Federal Reserve's hawkish interest rate outlook remain important factors for gold. Central bank demand continues to support the precious metal in the long term, but it cannot shield gold from a hawkish Fed in the near term.
The Atlanta Fed GDPNow is pointing to growth above 5.0 per cent for the third quarter of 2026, which strengthens the case that the US economy can absorb multiple rate hikes.
