Gold Futures Rise Amid Mixed Performance for Precious Metals
International gold and silver prices closed mixed on Wednesday.
On the New York Mercantile Exchange, gold futures for December delivery rose by 0.17 percent to settle at $4,186.70 per ounce, while silver futures for December delivery lost 0.96 percent to close at $60.566 per ounce.
The mixed performance of gold and silver prices came as European stocks closed lower across the board on Wednesday, pressured by persistently high government bond yields in several European countries and rising oil prices.
