Gold futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended higher on July 9, influenced by stronger COMEX gold prices. This was due to renewed safe-haven demand in response to ongoing geopolitical uncertainties.

The spot-month July 2026 contract rose to $4,115.60 per troy ounce from yesterday's price of $4,064.70. The August and September 2026 contracts also saw gains, reaching $4,136.20 and $4,149.40 respectively.

The October and December 2026 contracts both increased to $4,179.90 per troy ounce from their previous prices of $4,129.00. Trading volume remained unchanged at 134 lots, but open interest decreased to 204 contracts from 211 previously.
