Gold Futures Snap Two-Session Decline with 1.58% Surge
Gold futures for August delivery on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange rose $63.80 per troy ounce, closing at $4,100.10 Thursday.
This marked a gain of 1.58%, the largest single-day increase in both dollar and percentage terms since July 22.
The advance ended a two-session losing streak for the precious metal, with the settlement price reaching its highest level since July 22.
Despite this surge, gold remains 22.91% below its 52-week high of $5,318.40, which was reached on January 29.
