Gold Futures Surge on MCX Amid Fresh Speculative Positions

Gold futures on MCX surged by Rs 984 to reach Rs 1,44,090 per 10 grams on Monday, driven by fresh speculative positions and firm spot demand. Analysts say that participants built up new positions, leading to the price rise.

The precious metal contracts for August delivery traded higher by 0.69% in a business turnover of 591 lots.

Globally, gold futures rose 0.86% to USD 4,087.69 per ounce in New York.
