Gold Holds Firm Amid High Interest Rate Expectations
Gold prices remained stable on September 23 as investors evaluated the likelihood of major central banks maintaining high interest rates to combat persistent inflation.
Spot gold held steady at $4,356.92 per ounce, while US gold futures for December delivery increased by 0.4% to $4,394.90.
Silver also rose, climbing 0.4% to $67.37 per ounce, as did platinum and palladium, each increasing by 0.3% to $1,837.80 and $1,311.40 respectively.
