Gold Holds Steady Above $4,150 Amid Rate Hike Expectations
Gold prices stabilized above $4,150 an ounce in early U.S. trading Tuesday after Monday's steep selloff.
The precious metal is up 1.06% on the session while silver rose 0.40%
Traders are pricing a roughly 70% chance of another Fed rate increase in October as Treasury yields and Fed expectations continue to cap the rebound.
The upcoming labor-market test for gold will come from Tuesday's August JOLTS job openings report, followed by August personal income and PCE inflation Wednesday, ISM manufacturing Thursday, and the September employment report Friday.
