Gold Holds Steady Ahead of Warsh's Jackson Hole Speech
Gold prices held steady on Friday ahead of Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh's speech at the Jackson Hole symposium, where investors are seeking clues about U.S. interest rates.
The yellow metal traded flat at $4,602.19 an ounce by 08:25 ET (12:25 GMT), while U.S. Gold Futures fell 0.2% to $4,655.41.
Gold had hit a three-month high near $4,700/oz earlier this week due to concerns over U.S. fiscal policy and the Treasury's support for longer-dated bonds.
However, despite recent gains, gold is set for a marginal weekly fall after three consecutive weeks of increases.
