Gold Price Above $4,000 Boosts Barrick Mining and Kinross Gold
The gold price has held above $4,000 per ounce, supporting the entire sector. Barrick Mining is one of the companies benefiting from this trend.
Barrick reported impressive figures for the first quarter, with operating cash flow rising by 111% to $2.55 billion and adjusted earnings per share reaching $0.98.
The company's costs (AISC) came in below its own forecast at $1,708, while production exceeded expectations at 719,000 ounces.
Barrick is strategically focusing on diversification, with a copper expansion project expected to more than double copper production from 117,000 to 240,000 metric tons annually.
