Gold Price Decline Seen as Temporary by Hedge Fund Manager
Australian hedge fund manager Raphael Lamm believes the recent decline in gold prices is temporary. The L1 Gold Fund, which he co-manages with Mark Landau, has delivered a net return of over 235% to investors since its launch last year.
The fund's performance is attributed to the 'unsustainability of fiscal situations in key markets,' particularly US government debt exceeding $40 trillion. Central-bank allocations are also expected to support gold prices in the medium to long term, according to Lamm.
In the near term, gold price movements will be influenced by developments in the US-Iran war, real interest rates, and inflation data, said Lamm.
