Gold prices in Delhi declined on Monday, marking a bearish start to the week. The precious metal fell by Rs 650 per 10 grams to reach Rs 1,60,250 per 10 grams.

This decline comes as global gold prices slipped by USD 35.03, or nearly 1%, to USD 4,395.30 per ounce. Silver also dropped 1% to USD 65.64 per ounce.

Local traders report that silver remained unchanged at Rs 2,40,500 per kilogram for the second consecutive session.

The focus is now on key US inflation readings due later this week, which could provide insight into the Federal Reserve's interest-rate trajectory and its impact on gold prices.
