The price of gold has surged again in Bangladesh's local market.

In just three days, the cost of 22-carat gold per bhori increased by Tk 1,633, reaching a new price of Tk 2,47,745.

This latest hike follows a meeting of the Bangladesh Jewellers Association's (BAJUS) Standing Committee on Pricing and Price Monitoring on August 25.

The new prices were set considering the overall market situation, particularly the rise in raw gold prices in the local market.
