Gold prices in India fell to their lowest point in two months on Tuesday, dipping below Rs 1.50 lakh per 10 grams for the first time since July 31. The precious metal lost Rs 1,400 to trade at Rs 1,48,600 per 10 grams, inclusive of all taxes, according to local traders.

The drop in gold prices can be attributed to a strong US dollar and bearish demand locally. Despite the fall, silver remained unchanged at Rs 2.32 lakh per kilogram, having lost Rs 5,000 in the previous session.
