Gold Price Plummets in Pakistan as Local Markets Follow International Decline
The All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association released new rates for gold and silver prices in local bullion markets. On October 1, 2026, the price of one tola of 24-karat gold fell by Rs3,000 to Rs438,636.
The association also reported a decrease in the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold, which dropped by Rs2,572 to Rs376,059. In comparison, 22-karat gold saw its price per 10 grams decline by Rs2,358 to Rs344,733.
Silver prices also decreased in the local market, with 24-karat silver dropping by Rs50 per tola to Rs6,528 and 10 grams of silver decreasing by Rs43 to Rs5,596.
