The price of gold has rebounded in Bangladesh after three consecutive declines in the domestic market. The new prices were announced by the Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS), which stated that the increase was due to a rise in the price of gold bullion in the local market.

The price of 22-carat gold, also known as 'finest quality' or '22-carat', has increased by BDT 2,216 per bhori (11.664 grams). Consequently, one bhori of 22-carat gold now costs BDT 230,772, including VAT.

The new prices took effect from 10 AM on Wednesday, September 30. The decision to raise prices was made during a meeting of BAJUS's Standing Committee on Pricing and Price Monitoring, chaired by Dr. Dewan Aminul Islam Shahin.
