The gold price in India has seen an increase on August 18, 2026. According to Good Returns, the current prices are ₹15,589 per gram for 24 carat gold, ₹14,290 per gram for 22 carat gold, and ₹11,692 per gram for 18 carat gold.

The price of 24K gold has seen an increase of ₹23 over the previous day's price. Similarly, 22K and 18K gold have also seen an increase of ₹20 and ₹16 respectively.

The prices of gold have been fluctuating due to ongoing turmoil in the Middle East. The region's instability has led to a short dip in gold prices when international panic subsided, but high tax rates have kept precious metal markets fluctuating day to day.
