Gold Price Teeters Near $4,400 as China's Central Bank Continues to Buy
The gold price is hovering around $4,400 as buyers and sellers engage in a fierce battle. The metal has retreated from its recent high of $4,520, but China's central bank continues to fuel demand by adding to its gold reserves.
China added 80 tonnes to its gold reserves in the first part of this year, reaching a record 2,387 tonnes. This buying pace is significantly higher than last year, when China only added 29 tonnes to its official gold reserves throughout 2025.
CoinCodex projects that the gold price will reach $4,568.53 over the next month, suggesting potential upside of roughly 3.9% and a move towards the $4,500-$4,520 resistance zone if gold maintains its current recovery structure.
