Gold Price Tumbles Amidst Festive Demand: India Sees Drop in 24-Carat Gold Rates

The festive season has begun in India, and as expected, gold prices have started to surge. According to the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the futures price for 24-carat gold initially fell by 0.02% or a drop of ₹28 to ₹1,52,560 per 10 grams. This was a decrease from its previous closing price of ₹1,52,588 per 10 grams.

In international markets, gold prices have also declined. On Comex, gold fell by 0.01%, reaching $4,351.60 per ounce, while silver dropped 0.29% to $63.950 per ounce.

On the MCX, the price of silver futures fell by 0.39% or a decline of ₹913 to ₹2,31,777 per kilogram. The price of gold deliverable on December 4, 2026, had dropped 0.58% to ₹2,31,340 per kilogram.

The current gold rates in different cities across India are as follows: Delhi - ₹153,320 for 24-carat gold (10g), Mumbai - ₹153,170, Kolkata - ₹153,170, and so on.
