Gold Prices Consolidate Near $4,290 as Analysts Eye $4,349, $4,398

Gold futures prices have consolidated near $4,290 after a powerful advance from the recent low of $4,074 to a high of $4,363.70, a gain of approximately 7%. This consolidation is seen as short-term, with gold having reached an overbought extreme.

The VC PMI analysis shows that the Daily Mean is $4,315, which now represents the principal short-term pivot. If gold trading below this level, it would place the market in a corrective phase. Daily resistance levels are located at Sell 1 $4,349 and Sell 2 $4,398.

A recovery above $4,315 would increase the probability of another test of $4,349, followed by the recent high of $4,363.70. A decisive breakout could open the door toward $4,398 and potentially the psychological $4,400 area.

On the downside, Daily Buy 1 at $4,266 and Daily Buy 2 at $4,232 define the primary mean-reversion accumulation zone. These levels should be closely monitored for evidence of buyers returning.
