Gold Prices Continue Downward Trend in India
The prices of gold and silver continued to be under pressure in India on September 17. According to the data, 24-karat gold is traded at ₹1,51,190 per 10 grams in Delhi, while 22-karat gold is priced at ₹1,38,591 per 10 grams. In Mumbai, the prices are similar, with 24-karat gold trading at ₹1,51,450 and 22-karat gold at ₹1,38,829 per 10 grams.
The silver prices in India also remained unchanged on September 17. The price of silver is ₹23,168 per 100 grams, which translates to ₹2,31,680 per kilogram. This price remains the same across all major cities in India, including Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Hyderabad, and Chennai.
The prices at top jewellery retailers remained under pressure as well. Joyalukkas and Malabar Gold & Diamonds both quoted ₹14,065 per gram for 22-karat gold, while Tanishq's 22K gold rate stood at ₹14,110 per gram. Malabar's 24-carat gold rate is ₹15,344 per gram, and Tanishq's 24-carat gold rate stood at ₹15,393 per gram.
