Gold Prices Correct Amid Stronger US Dollar and Higher Treasury Yields
Gold prices in India remained elevated on September 25, despite seeing a correction from recent highs. The precious metal's price is influenced by various factors including the stronger US dollar, higher US Treasury yields, and expectations around US interest rates.
The current rate of 24-karat gold is ₹1,51,580 per 10 grams, while 22-karat gold stands at approximately ₹1,38,948 per 10 grams. Silver was quoted at around ₹2,34,040 per kg nationally and ₹2,33,810 per kg in Mumbai.
Analysts have attributed the recent pressure on gold to a stronger US dollar and higher US Treasury yields. Additionally, expectations around US interest rates have also influenced precious-metal prices.
