Gold Prices Decline Amid Stalled US-Iran Talks, Elevated Crude Oil
Gold prices on MCX fell by 0.2% to Rs. 1,53,953 per 10 grams on August 19 due to elevated crude oil prices and stalled US-Iran talks.
The US Federal Reserve interest rate hike bets increased amid the tension between the two countries.
Brent crude futures rose 0.71% to $91.67 per barrel, while US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) edged higher by 0.80% to $85.62 per barrel.
The CME FedWatch Tool indicates a 65% probability that the Fed will keep rates unchanged and a 35% chance of a rate hike in September.
