Gold Prices Dip in India Amid Global Economic Uncertainty
Gold prices in India have seen a slight decline on July 28, 2026, offering a modest reprieve for jewelry buyers and investors. Despite this drop, gold remains near historic highs, supported by global economic uncertainty. According to market data, 24-carat gold is trading at ₹14,417 per gram today.
The prices of 22K and 18K gold also saw a decrease, with the former trading at ₹13,215 per gram and the latter at ₹10,813 per gram. This decline comes amidst a 0.9% daily increase in international spot gold, which is currently trading at approximately $4,087.59 per ounce.
The geopolitical situation remains tense around the world, leading people to seek safe-haven assets like gold. Central banks continue to buy up gold strongly, and a depreciated US dollar can drive up the price of bullion. Analysts suggest that prices may rise further if there is more uncertainty in the global economy.
