Gold Prices Edge Higher in India on August 29

Gold prices in India rose by INR 1 per gram on August 29, 2026, according to Goodreturns. This increase is seen in both 24K and 22K gold rates compared to the previous session.

The latest data from Goodreturns shows that 24 carat gold is trading at around INR 16,114 per gram, while 22 carat gold is priced near INR 14,771 per gram in the base India rate. These rates are indicative and do not include GST, TCS, and other applicable levies.

Investors continue to track global interest rate expectations, currency movements, and geopolitical developments for fresh cues. Gold prices remained elevated after a sharp correction seen earlier in the week.
