Gold Prices Fall Amid Middle East Uncertainty
Gold prices retreated on Monday as market participants assessed recent developments in the Middle East and their potential impact on inflation and interest rates.
According to Reuters, spot gold dropped by 0.3% to $4,362.60 per ounce by 04:17 GMT after reaching a one-week high on Friday.
In contrast, U.S. gold futures declined by 0.6% to $4,400.20.
Other precious metals also experienced price fluctuations, with spot silver rising by 0.2% to $66.37 per ounce, platinum falling by 0.1% to $1,798.31, and palladium increasing by 0.6% to $1,309.65.
