Gold Prices Hold Steady Across Major Indian Jewelry Brands
Gold prices in India remained largely stable on Monday, October 5, 2026, across major jewelry brands in key cities, though the bullion market saw a slight decline in rates compared to the previous evening. The India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA) reported a marginal drop in its indicative gold and silver rates, reflecting minor changes in the market.
In Delhi, Tanishq priced its 22k gold jewelry at Rs 13,720 per gram, unchanged from the previous day. Meanwhile, Malabar Gold & Diamonds, Kalyan Jewellers, and Joyalukkas maintained their 22k gold rates at Rs 13,675 per gram, consistent with their October 3 prices. Similar trends were observed in Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Trivandrum, and Bengaluru, where Tanishq and other jewelers kept their 22k gold prices steady.
The IBJA's indicative retail selling rates for various gold purities on October 5 showed minor declines. Fine gold (999) was priced at Rs 14,779 per gram, down from Rs 14,814 on October 1. The rates for 22k, 20k, 18k, and 14k gold also saw slight decreases. Conversely, silver prices experienced a modest increase, with 999-purity silver rising to Rs 2,22,934 per kilogram from Rs 2,20,829 per kilogram.
Overall, the gold market exhibited stability, with jewelry brands maintaining consistent prices despite minor adjustments in the bullion market. The IBJA does not publish rates on holidays and weekends, emphasizing the regularity of its updates during business days.
