Gold Prices Hold Steady Ahead of Crucial US Inflation Data
Gold prices remained stable in Asian trading on Monday, as investors awaited key US inflation data to guide their expectations about the Federal Reserve's interest rate path.
The spot price of gold was steady at $4,424.40 an ounce by 00:25 GMT, while US gold futures for December delivery slipped 0.1 percent to $4,471.60 an ounce.
Others in the precious metals space saw silver hold steady at $66.21 an ounce, but platinum and palladium fell 0.7 percent and 0.4 percent respectively.
