Gold Prices Hold Steady Ahead of US Economic Data Release
Gold prices held steady on September 29th as investors awaited US economic data releases. This comes despite concerns that the Federal Reserve may maintain higher interest rates, which has kept gold at a more than seven-week low.
Spot gold hovered around $4,124.57 per ounce, remaining relatively unchanged from its previous session. US gold futures also dipped by 0.3% to $4,156.70.
The prices of other precious metals were affected as well, with spot silver falling 0.6% to $60.62 and platinum slipping 1% at $1,699.86. Palladium lost 0.5% to $1,209.08.
