Gold Prices Hold Steady Despite Fed Rate Hike
Gold prices held steady on September 19, closing at around $4,300 USD per ounce. In Vietnam, SJC gold bars were priced between 144.6-147.6 million VND/tael (buying-selling), with a difference of 3 million VND/tael.
Other gold bar prices also remained relatively unchanged, with Bao Tin Minh Chau and Bao Tin Manh Hai adjusting down by 500,000 VND/tael in both directions. The buying-selling price for 9999 gold rings was listed at the threshold of 144-148 million VND/tael (buying-selling) by DOJI Group.
DOJI also listed 9999 jewelry gold at 142-146 million VND/tael (buying-selling), unchanged compared to the previous closing session. Phu Quy Gold and Gems Group listed the price of 9999 jewelry gold at the threshold of 141.5-146.5 million VND/tael (buying-selling).
According to a precious metals website, investors should not focus too much on US monetary policy and start paying attention to the next $1,000 billion USD debt of the US. The US Federal Reserve raised interest rates by 25 basis points on Wednesday, but gold prices did not break.
