Gold Prices Hold Steady Despite Gains
Gold prices held steady on Friday in Singapore, despite making gains for three consecutive weeks. The metal has seen a 3.2% increase since the start of the week, according to Reuters.
The U.S. Treasury's efforts to curb rising long-term bond yields have contributed to gold's stability. A weaker dollar has also supported gold prices, which are on track for their third consecutive weekly gain.
Spot gold was little changed at $4,514.23 per ounce by 00:31 GMT. U.S. gold futures settled at $4,571.20. Other precious metals such as silver, platinum, and palladium have also seen gains.
