Gold Prices in Bangalore Surge to ₹15,566 per Gram on August 17
Gold prices in Bangalore rose on Monday, August 17, with 24K gold reaching ₹15,566 per gram, marking a gain of ₹53 from the previous session. The price increase comes as gold prices strengthen across Indian markets.
The 22-karat and 18-karat gold also saw gains, rising to ₹14,270 per gram and ₹11,676 per gram respectively. This move follows a sharp fluctuation in gold prices over the past 10 days, with prices correcting on August 13 before recovering on subsequent days.
The current gold price is influenced by international bullion prices, movements in the rupee against the US dollar, domestic demand, import costs, and global economic developments. For jewellery buyers, the displayed gold rate is only the starting point, as making charges, GST, and retailer-specific costs can increase the final purchase price.
According to HDFC Sky, Bangalore's gold market has shown noticeable volatility over the past 10 days, with prices fluctuating between ₹15,235 per gram and ₹15,513 per gram for 24K gold. The recent gain of ₹53 takes the rate to ₹15,566, the highest level shown in the 10-day Bangalore price table.
