Gold prices in India have been under pressure due to easing international gold rates. On Tuesday, September 8, 2026, 24K gold retail rates ranged between INR 15,414 and INR 15,430 per gram across various Indian markets.

The 22K gold rate, which is widely tracked by jewellery buyers, stood at around INR 14,129, INR 14,145 per gram. This decline in prices comes after spot gold fell 0.4% to USD 4,410.55 an ounce on Monday due to stronger US jobs data increasing expectations of a possible Federal Reserve rate hike.

The prices have been influenced by international market trends, with the listed cities showing similar rates for both 24K and 22K gold.
