Gold Prices in India Remain Stable Ahead of Festive Season
The gold and silver prices in India have remained relatively stable on September 16. The retail market is dominated by two purities of gold, 24-karat and 22-karat. While 24-karat gold is considered purest, 22-karat gold is preferred for jewelry due to its strength and durability.
The prices are influenced by international gold rates, US dollar exchange rate, and domestic demand, especially ahead of the festive season. According to the latest rates, Delhi saw a 24K Gold price of ₹1,53,310 per 10 gm and 22K Gold at ₹1,40,540 per 10 gm.
The prices remained largely stable across major Indian states, with Joyalukkas and Malabar Gold & Diamonds quoting ₹14,040 per gm for 22K gold. Tanishq's 22K gold rate stood at ₹14,085 per gm, while its 24-carat gold rate was ₹15,365 per gm.
