Gold prices in India remained unchanged on Sunday, August 16, after experiencing a volatile week marked by repeated declines and sharp corrections. The latest benchmark rate stood at ₹15,513 per gram for 24 K gold, ₹14,220 per gram for 22K gold, and ₹11,635 per gram for 18K gold.
The domestic gold market remained steady on Sunday as there was no fresh trading activity in the Indian bullion and futures markets over the weekend. The latest national rates are: 24K Gold (99.9% purity) at ₹15,513 per gram or ₹1,55,130 per 10 grams, 22K Gold (91.6% purity) at ₹14,220 per gram or ₹1,42,200 per 10 grams, and 18K Gold (75% purity) at ₹11,635 per gram or ₹1,16,350 per 10 grams.
The MCX is closed on Sunday, so there is no fresh domestic futures trading session on August 16. The latest MCX direction therefore remains linked to Friday's close and global bullion movements. International gold ended the week with some recovery after the recent sell-off, gaining 0.4% to $4,380.40 per troy ounce.
