Gold Prices in Karachi Plummet by Rs. 3,700 Per Tola on August 1st
Gold prices in Karachi plummeted by Rs. 3,700 per tola on August 1st, following international gold rates' sharp decline of $37 to settle at $4,043 per ounce. This marked a reversal of the previous day's gains of Rs. 3,000 per tola.
The All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association reported that 24-karat gold per tola dropped to Rs. 426,736, while 24-karat gold per 10 grams fell by Rs. 3,202 to Rs. 365,857.
The decline in global gold rates reflects the volatile nature of Pakistan's gold market, which has been characterized by sharp one-day surges followed by equally sharp single-session reversals throughout July and now into August.
