Gold Prices Jump Amid Weaker Dollar
Gold prices surged on Monday, driven by a weaker US dollar and fading expectations of an interest rate hike by the Federal Reserve.
Spot gold rose to $4,426.52 per ounce, up 1.2 percent from the previous day's price. Meanwhile, US gold futures for December delivery gained 1.1 percent to reach $4,484.10.
The price of other precious metals also increased, with spot silver climbing 2.8 percent to $66.44 per ounce. Platinum and palladium saw gains as well, increasing by 2 percent and 1.5 percent respectively.
