Gold Prices Plummet ₹2,045 to ₹1,54,236/10gm Amid Weaker Spot Demand
Gold prices in India declined by ₹2,045 to ₹1,54,236 per 10 grams on Monday due to weaker spot demand. The decline was observed on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) where gold futures for October delivery traded lower by 1.31%.
The business turnover on MCX was 2,680 lots during this period. Globally, gold prices also fell, with futures declining by 0.51% to $4,432.51 per ounce in New York.
Analysts attributed the decline in precious metal prices to weaker spot demand. The current price is a result of market dynamics and not necessarily a trendsetter for future prices.
