The gold and silver prices witnessed a significant correction on September 2, 2026. The precious metals market saw a sharp decline in prices across all purity levels.

24-karat gold dropped by ₹2,070 per 10 grams compared to the previous trading session, while silver plummeted by ₹5,000 per kilogram, bringing its price down to ₹245,000 per kg in most major cities. The biggest decline was seen in 24-karat gold.

Despite the sharp one-day decline, gold remains slightly higher than it was at the beginning of the month. Compared with two days ago, 24K gold is still up by around ₹160 per 10 grams, indicating continued volatility in the bullion market.
