Gold prices in Delhi have fallen below Rs 1.5 lakh per 10 grams for the first time in two months, dropping by Rs 1,400 due to bearish local demand and a strengthening US dollar.

The precious metal of 99.9% purity traded lower at Rs 1,48,600 per 10 grams, inclusive of all taxes, according to local traders.

This marks the lowest level for gold in two months, with prices last seen around this level on July 31 when they stood at Rs 1,48,300 per 10 grams.

Silver remained unchanged at Rs 2.32 lakh per kilogram, while spot gold staged a modest recovery after tumbling 4% in the previous session.
