The price of gold has fluctuated in recent times, leading to a decline in its value. On September 12, markets were closed due to the weekend, resulting in no new gold prices being released. However, looking back at previous data, it is clear that gold prices have dropped over the past week.

According to the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the futures price for 24-carat gold fell by 0.08% (a drop of ₹129) to close at ₹1,52,655 per 10 grams on September 11. In contrast, on September 4, 999-purity gold was priced at ₹1,54,884 per 10 grams.

This indicates that gold has become cheaper by ₹2,946 in just a week. Typically, gold prices tend to rise as the festive season approaches.
