Gold Prices Plummet by ₹8,000 in September Amid Market Correction

The precious metals market experienced a sharp correction in September, with gold and silver prices declining significantly. The India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA) reported that the price of 24-carat gold dropped by ₹4,065 per 10 grams, bringing it down to ₹1.48 lakh.

Silver prices also fell sharply, with one kilogram becoming cheaper by ₹9,158. The metal is now trading at ₹2.23 lakh per kg.

According to the IBJA data, gold prices have fallen by nearly ₹8,000 per 10 grams in the first 28 days of September, while silver has declined by around ₹14,000 per kg from its end-August levels.
