Gold Prices Plummet in Baghdad and Erbil Markets

Gold prices in Baghdad and Erbil markets experienced a decline on Monday. According to a market survey by Shafaq News, gold prices hovered around 970,000 IQD per mithqal (five grams) in these cities.

The selling price of 21-carat gold on Baghdad's Al-Nahr Street was recorded at 968,000 IQD, while the buying price stood at 964,000 IQD. This represents a decrease from Sunday's prices, which were 983,000 IQD for selling and 978,000 IQD for buying.

Similarly, in jewelry stores, the selling price per mithqal of 21-carat Gulf gold ranged between 970,000 and 980,000 IQD. In contrast, Iraqi gold sold for between 940,000 and 950,000 IQD.
