Gold Prices Plummet in Baghdad and Erbil Markets

Gold prices took a dip in Baghdad and Erbil markets on Monday. According to a Shafaq News market survey, gold hovered around 915,000 IQD per mithqal in both cities.

In Baghdad's Al-Nahr Street, the selling price of 21-carat gold was recorded at 910,000 IQD per mithqal for five grams, including Gulf, Turkish, and European varieties. The buying price stood at 906,000 IQD, down from 938,000 IQD on Sunday.

The same gold sold for 880,000 IQD in jewelry stores, with a buying price of 876,000 IQD. In Erbil, the prices were slightly higher: 22-carat gold was sold at 960,000 IQD per mithqal, 21-carat gold at 917,000 IQD, and 18-carat gold at 785,000 IQD.
