Gold Prices Plummet in Pakistan Amid Global Market Decline

The price of gold in Pakistan's local market experienced a significant decline on Monday. According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat gold per tola fell by Rs12,800 to settle at Rs438,136. The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also decreased by Rs10,973 to Rs375,631.

In addition, the association reported that the price of 22-karat gold dropped by Rs10,059 to Rs344,340. In the international market, the price of gold fell by $128 to $4,156 per ounce. The price of silver also declined, with a tola dropping by Rs325 to Rs6,578 and 10 grams falling by Rs279 to Rs5,639.

The association noted that the price of silver in the international market dropped by $3.25 to $61 per ounce.
