Gold Prices Plummet on MCX Amid Weaker Spot Demand
Gold prices on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) declined by ₹1,213 to ₹1,41,850 per 10 grams in futures trade due to weaker spot demand. This represents a 0.85% decrease from the previous price. The August delivery contracts traded lower with a business turnover of 759 lots.
Globally, gold futures also declined by 0.85% to $4,041.42 per ounce in New York, mirroring the trend seen in Indian markets. Analysts attributed the decline in precious metal prices to weaker spot demand.
