Gold Prices Plunge in Pakistan Amid Global Decline
Gold prices in Pakistan's local market plummeted on Thursday, with 24-karat gold rates dropping by Rs3,000 per tola to Rs438,636, according to data from the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.
The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also decreased by Rs2,572, settling at Rs376,059.
Additionally, 10 grams of 22-karat gold lost Rs2,358, pricing out at Rs344,733.
This decline in domestic prices coincided with a decrease in international gold rates, where the precious metal fell $30 to $4,161 per ounce in the global market.
