Gold Prices Rebound as Oil Retreats Ahead of Federal Reserve Decision
Gold and silver prices rose on Wednesday, September 16, during the U.S. morning session, while oil prices retreated ahead of the Federal Reserve's interest-rate decision.
The precious metals rebounded as crude oil prices fell for the first time this week, and pressure on U.S. Treasury yields eased slightly.
Spot gold traded near $4,352.07 per ounce, up 1.36%, while spot silver was at $64.555 per ounce, gaining 1.41% on the day.
The market attention is currently focused on the Federal Reserve's policy decision at 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time and Chairman Kevin Warsh's press conference.
