Gold prices in Kolkata saw an increase on July 27, as 24K gold rose by ₹96 to ₹14,589 per gram. The 22K rate also climbed ₹85 to ₹13,370 per gram, while the 18K price gained ₹69 to ₹10,939.

According to HDFC Sky, this rise marks a recovery from last week's steep correction, where prices had fallen due to a combination of international bullion rates, rupee movements against the US dollar, and import costs.

The 24K rate has added ₹260 per gram since July 18, while 22K gold is ₹235 higher. This translates into an increase of ₹2,350 in the underlying gold value for a buyer purchasing 10 grams of 22K gold compared to July 18.
