Gold prices rebounded on October 15, 2026, following a drop in crude oil prices, which helped ease pressure across markets. Spot gold rose by 0.93% to near $4,144 per ounce, while US gold futures climbed 1.23% to $4,158.50 per ounce. Domestic spot gold in India had closed the previous session at Rs 1,45,615 per 10 grams, a 1.03% decline, and silver had dropped to Rs 2,14,436 per kilogram.
The recovery came after aggressive Federal Reserve rate hikes and higher-than-expected US inflation data weighed on bullion sentiment. The US Consumer Price Index rose to 3.7% in September, driven by rising energy costs. Brent crude futures fell 1.41% to $1045 per barrel, while the Indian rupee appreciated 95.14 paise against the US dollar.
MCX gold futures for December 4 delivery rose 2% to Rs 1,45,850 per 10 grams, while silver prices remained steady at Rs 2,07,990 per kilogram. The price variations for 24K, 22K, and 18K gold, as well as silver, were reported across different cities.
