Gold Prices Rise After Three Sessions of Decline Amid Bargain Hunting
Gold prices in India rose for the first time after three consecutive sessions of decline. The current national rates are ₹1,52,840 per 10 grams for 24 karat gold (99.9% purity), ₹1,40,100 per 10 grams for 22 karat gold (91.6% purity), and ₹1,14,630 per 10 grams for 18 karat gold (75% purity). The increase is attributed to bargain hunting after the past three sessions of falling prices.
The slight rise in gold prices comes as a relief after a volatile week. Analysts note that the softening of the US dollar and a pause in Treasury yields gave gold room to recover. However, the scale of Friday's move remained modest compared with the sharp swings seen earlier in the week.
